How to have your say
Jersey’s general election takes place on 22 June 2022, when Islanders will go to the polls to elect 37 Deputies across 9 voting districts and 12 parish Constables.
The system is different this year to previously, after an overhaul of the electoral districts designed so that each area evenly reflects the number of people who live there. Lucy, for example, is standing for Deputy in District 1 - which is made up of St Mary, St Ouen and St Peter.
Voting will also be easier this year than ever before, with the return of pre-poll voting as well as new rules around postal voting which will mean anyone can ask to vote via post (previously you had to be out of the Island to qualify). More information will be sent to all households in March, but the most important thing in the meantime is to make sure you are registered to vote by the deadline of noon on 10 May.
